Logis IDS Mobile Privacy Policy
Logis IDS Mobile Privacy Notice – App Stores
Plain-Language Summary
Before reading the full notice, here is a brief overview of how Logis IDS Mobile handles information:
· What we collect: Name, work email, business contact details, job and dispatch data, device and usage information, and precise location (including background location during active work sessions).
· Why we collect it: To provide dispatch, routing, and operational logistics functionality to your organization.
· Who we share it with: Cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, mapping, and messaging providers that support the Service — never for advertising or marketing.
· We do not sell personal information.
· Your rights: Data protection rights are exercised through the organization that provided you access to the app.
1. Introduction and Scope
Logis Solutions, a subsidiary of ESO Solutions Inc. (“Logis Solutions”, “we”, “us”), develops and operates the Logis IDS Mobile application (the Service). Logis IDS Mobile supports professional dispatch, routing, and operational logistics workflows.
This Privacy Notice applies to all users of the Service on any supported platform, including Android (Google Play) and iOS (Apple App Store).
The Service is typically made available by a third-party organization (for example, an employer, contractor, or service provider). In these circumstances:
· That organization acts as the data controller; and
· Logis Solutions acts as a data processor, processing personal data on the organization’s documented instructions.
Questions about how personal data is used, or requests to exercise data protection rights, should be directed to the organization that provided access to the Service.
Logis IDS Mobile is primarily intended for use by adults in a professional or occupational capacity only.
2. Data We Collect, Why We Collect It, and Whether It Is Required
The table below summarizes the categories of data processed through Logis IDS Mobile, the purpose of processing, whether data is shared with service providers, and whether collection is required for the Service to function. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS.
| Data Type | Purpose | Shared With Service Providers? | Required or Optional |
| Device identifier | Account authentication | Cloud hosting provider (where environment is not hosted on-premise). | Required |
| Business contact details | Account and access management | Cloud hosting provider (where environment is not hosted on-premise). | Required |
| Job and dispatch data (job IDs, status, notes) | Core dispatch, routing, and operational functionality | Cloud hosting provider (where environment is not hosted on-premise). | Required |
| Precise location (foreground) | Routing, navigation, and job progress tracking | Mapping provider | Required |
| Precise location (background) | Continuous dispatch operations during active work sessions | Mapping provider | Required for core functionality |
Data collection vs. data sharing: Data collection refers to information processed by Logis Solutions and its service providers on behalf of your organization. Data sharing refers to limited disclosures to the service providers listed in Section 4. Personal data is not shared for advertising, marketing, or unrelated purposes.
3. Location Information
Logis IDS Mobile processes precise location information, including background location where enabled, while the device is powered on and the Service is being used for assigned operational activities.
Why background location is necessary: Dispatch and routing operations require continuous location awareness to update job progress, reroute in real time, and provide operational visibility to your organization. Foreground-only location access would interrupt these functions whenever the app is not actively displayed.
Operational limits:
· Background location is limited to active work sessions and tasks assigned by your organization.
· Location data is not used to monitor users outside assigned operational activities.
· Location collection stops when the application is closed or permissions are revoked.
Users can manage or revoke location permissions at any time through device settings. Revoking location permissions will impact core functionality of the Service
4. SDKs
Logis IDS Mobile relies on third-party service providers to operate and support the Service. These providers act as sub-processors and are bound by contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations. They may not use personal data for advertising or their own independent purposes.
| Provider / SDK | Category | Data Shared | Privacy Policy |
| HERE Maps SDK | Mapping and routing | Location data | https://www.here.com/privacy |
App-store disclosures:
· Logis IDS Mobile does not use advertising identifiers, does not engage in cross-app tracking, and does not present an Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
5. How We Use Information and Legal Bases
Personal data is processed only as necessary to deliver and operate the Service. The table below sets out the purposes for which personal data is processed, and the legal basis relied upon in each case.
| Processing Activity | Legal Basis |
| Providing dispatch, routing, and operational logistics functionality | Contractual necessity – processing is required to deliver the service to your organization. |
| Real-time and background location tracking during active work session | Legitimate Interests – continuous location awareness is necessary for operational visibility and job management on behalf of your organization. |
| Crash reporting and performance monitoring | Legitimate Interests – maintaining the stability, security, and reliability of the Service. |
| Security monitoring, audit logging, and misuse prevention | Legitimate interests / Legal obligation – depending on applicable regulatory requirements. |
| Technical Support | Contractual necessity – processing is required to resolve issues affecting your use of the Service. |
| Push notifications | Consent – this is an optional feature, and the permission can be withdrawn at any time through device settings. |
| Behavioral and usage analytics | Legitimate interests – analyzing how the app is used to improve functionality and the services we offer. |
Personal data is not used for advertising, profiling for marketing purposes, or cross application tracking. Personal data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
6. Data Retention
We only keep your data for as long as we need it to provide our service. When we no longer need it, or when the app or business we work with asks us to remove it, we will delete it securely. If the law ever requires us to keep it for longer, we will make sure it stays protected until we can.
Where we process certain operational data in our own right such as system logs and diagnostic information, we retain this information for as long as necessary for security, stability, and legal compliance purposes.
7. Security
Logis Solutions implements appropriate administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal data, including:
· Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
· Role-based access controls
· Security monitoring and audit logging
No system is completely secure. Users should notify their organization promptly if they suspect unauthorized access.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Logis Solutions does not sell your information. Depending on your location, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and non-discrimination.
Because Logis Solutions acts as a data processor, requests to exercise these rights should be submitted to the organization that provided access to Logis IDS. Logis Solutions will support that organization as required by law.
· UK / EEA users: You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for example, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office).
9. Children
Logis IDS Mobile is intended for professional use only and is not designed for individuals under 18. Where a customer organization employs users under 18, it is the organization’s responsibility to ensure all necessary consents and legal permissions are in place before granting access. Logis Solutions does not knowingly process personal data relating to individuals under 18 without such authorization. Where this is identified, the data will be deleted promptly.
10. Changes to This Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice may be updated periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the version number and last updated date, and customer organizations may be notified where appropriate.
