A Hill Worth Climbing
The EMS landscape has endured dramatic changes over recent years. Agencies today are faced with staffing and employee turnover, increasing call volume, and change reimbursement requirements. As a result, they’re forced to find ways of doing more with less. Leveraging the powers of technology is a great answer to this challenge, but technology alone can only go so far. Organizational change is also needed to successfully implement that technology, make the most of agency resources and keep up with evolving demands. Not an easy feat for EMS, but a worthwhile one.
In this webinar with the American Ambulance Association, I joined our friends at Emergent Health Partners and ESO to talk about implementing technologies from CAD to billing systems. We discussed lessons learned not just about technology selection, but also about the impacts on the people and the processes that support them. We also reviewed what went right, what went wrong, and key takeaways to help your agency embrace change and overcome implementation obstacles.
Speakers:
Alicia Keaton, Director of Patient Accounts at Emergent Health Partners
Sam Brown, Chief Operating Officer at ESO
Gil Glass, CEO at Logis Solutions
